Service Part: Whynter RPD-302W Humidity Sensor Part
Posted by Unknown on Jul 28th 2017
Whynter Customer Service was absolute rubbish, but by reading online reviews I was able to see one customer had fixed their issue by ordering the replacement sensor. I knew the humidity reading on my unit was way lower than it could possibly be in reality, so I ordered the sensor, unscrewed the unit, popped it in and it started pulling water out of the air immediately. Previously it had been running but shutting off and not accumulating any water in the bin. Problem solved and now I don't have to pay $150 for a new unit. The only reason I give it four stars instead of five is I don't know how long it will last given the original sensor only lasted two years.
