This is a nice upgrade! It would be nice if this was shipped standard with the ice cream maker.
The stainless steel bowl is more polished than the aluminum bowl. The problem I was having before is the mixture would freeze at the bottom of the aluminum bowl and build up causing the mixing blade to seize up before the batch was ready. The stainless steel bowl had no such problem. The mixing blade was still turning easily when the contents were done.
I will say that the stainless steel bowl does not conduct temperature changes as quickly as the aluminum bowl. The mixing took ~10 minutes longer using the stainless steel bowl. But all in all the stainless steep bowl is significantly nicer to use.
