The intake and exhaust hoses on the Whynter ARC-14SH can be attractive to a variety of bugs and small critters. Using these filters is a surefire way to prevent "guests" from taking up residence. We are using one on each hose, just to be sure. Highly recommended.
Should be included with the unit!
